INTRODUCCIÓN
One of the most common problems teachers face when teaching English is a lack of confidence on their own abilities. When it comes to dealing with pronunciation in the classroom the aforementioned lack of confidence becomes more problematic.
Teachers in Infant and Primary Education require an understanding of a number of basic concepts in order to master elementary skills and this course aims to achieve this.
OBJETIVOS
• To improve attendees;

CONTENIDOS
• Vowel and consonant sounds.
• Contrast voiced/unvoiced sounds
• Contrast long/short sounds
• Diphthongs and triphthongs
• Questions, `Wh- questions´, `requests´, `reply questions´ and `question tags´entonation
• `Weak forms´. ` Linking´.
• Past tenses, 3rd person singular , plurals,- ´s pronunciation.
• Common homophones: write / right; air / heir.flower / flour…
METODOLOGÍA
Practical work with a selection of activities designed to improve their teaching methods and to increase teachers´self-confidence.

DESTINATARIOS
Profesorado de Educación Infantil y Primaria que esté prestando servicios en centros docentes sostenidos con fondos públicos de la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria en el curso 2014-2015.
CRITERIOS DE SELECCIÓN
La selección se realizará, por riguroso orden de inscripción dentro de cada categoría o grupo y no se pasará hasta la siguiente categoría o grupo hasta que se hayan agotado las solicitudes del grupo anterior, según los siguientes criterios de selección en el orden que se indica a continuación:
1. Profesorado especialista de inglés que imparta docencia en centros de Educación Infantil y Primaria en el curso 2014-2015.
2. Profesorado de Educación Infantil que imparta docencia en centros incluidos dentro del Plan de Inmersión Lingüística en Educación Infantil (PIL) en el curso 2014-2015.
3. Profesorado de Educación Primaria que imparta docencia en centros que desarrollen un Programa de Educación Bilingüe en Inglés (PEB) en el curso 2014-2015.
4. Resto de profesorado.
